PDS Tech Commercial is seeking mechanically inclined and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as FAA Assembly Mechanic. This is a swing shift opportunity in a regulated aerospace environment where your hands-on skills will contribute to the construction, maintenance, and testing of critical mechanical components.

Your Role and Impact
As an Assembly Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the functionality and safety of mechanical equipment and systems. You’ll work under direct supervision, following established procedures to assemble, inspect, and maintain aerospace components.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assemble mechanical components to meet quality and safety standards.

• Perform routine maintenance and testing of machinery and equipment.

• Identify worn or malfunctioning parts and place orders for replacements.

• Follow work orders, safety instructions, and FAA guidelines.

• Operate powered industrial trucks and handle materials safely.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 5S standards.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 0–2 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.

• Familiarity with basic mechanical concepts and procedures.

• Ability to follow instructions and work under immediate supervision.

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and wear steel-toed footwear.

• Must pass FAA vision testing within the first week of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an apprenticeship or formal mechanical training.

• Experience in aerospace or FAA-regulated environments.

• Pay Rate: $21/hr

• Shift: 2nd/Swing Shift – 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

• Bonus Opportunity: Up to $3,000 through our Subco Bonus Program

  • $1,000 at 14 days with perfect attendance

  • $1,000 at 60 days

  • $1,000 at 90 days (must have received 14-day bonus to qualify)
