Build Aerospace Excellence with Every Cut

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Machinist to support high-precision aerospace manufacturing. In this role, you’ll bring technical skill, accuracy, and craftsmanship to machining operations that directly impact the safety, reliability, and innovation of aerospace components.

What You’ll Do

• Perform machining operations including drilling, milling, turning, and grinding.

• Set up machines, secure stock materials, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

• Select, install, and align drills, cutters, dies, and holding devices using templates and measuring instruments.

• Adjust machine controls to set feed rates, cutting speeds, depths, and angles.

• Operate precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to verify tolerances.

• Conduct part inspections, compute basic gear dimensions, and apply accurate measurements.

• Interpret blueprints and tolerancing standards using GD&T principles.

• Apply CAD for basic design/drafting and utilize CAM fundamentals for toolpath creation and simulation.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.

• 1–2 years of machining experience and/or technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience with machine setup, precision measurement tools, and print interpretation.

• Ability to safely and accurately perform machining tasks in a production environment.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.

• Strong knowledge of GD&T standards and machining tolerances.

• Experience with multi-process machining in aerospace or related industries.
