Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Expeditor for a contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • High school diploma or equivalent required. • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role or related role. • Excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks. • Proficiency in Excel. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Demonstrate a strong team player mentality, including: o Willingness to assist and support colleagues as needed. o Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders. o Commitment to achieving team goals and objectives. o Open communication and transparency in all interactions. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and resolve any material-related issues • Review master production schedule to identify potential and actual material shortages. • Alert proper authorities of potential problems and take proactive measures to mitigate delays. • Provide progress reports on assigned programs or areas through maintaining accurate records of orders. • Expedite parts to different areas of the facility to maintain processes. • Report on completion dates, material changes or substitutions, shortages, and schedule modifications • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of material movements, inventory levels, and production schedules. Be able to speak and present on items. • Be open-minded and receptive to new ideas and perspectives, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and procedures. • Continuously seek ways to improve the material dispatch process, including suggesting innovative solutions and participating in process improvement initiatives. Candidate must be able to read/write English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Experience in a related industry (e.g. manufacturing, logistics, hospitality, restaurant, etc.). • Certification in material management or a related field. • Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory management principles. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
WORK HOURS: Full-Time Monday-Thursday 03:30pm-02:00amEST- with OT available on the weekends.
