PDS Tech Commercial is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Operations Trainees to join our team in the aerospace industry. In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital part in manufacturing advanced composite parts for aircraft—helping build the components that take flight every day.  This is more than a job. It’s a launchpad into the world of aerospace manufacturing, where precision and craftsmanship meet innovation and impact.
 
What You’ll Do – Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As an Operations Trainee, you’ll train to become an Advanced Composite Technician, learning to:

• Manufacture high-precision composite aircraft parts using advanced materials and techniques.

• Work with composite resins and materials, shaping and laying them into tools—much like wrapping a car, requiring precision, patience, and craftsmanship.

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and operation sheets to understand manufacturing requirements.

• Use measuring tools like a 6" scale to ensure quality standards are met.

• Cut, bag, trim, and cure composite parts using autoclaves in a structured production environment.

• Check your work thoroughly to ensure it is defect-free before inspection.

• Maintain logs and records as required.

• Keep your work area neat and organized in compliance with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and 5S standards.

• Contribute to Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

 
What You’ll Need – Qualifications
Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and precision measurement tools.

• Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with hands—similar to skills used in sewing, pottery, or other fine manual crafts.

• Must meet physical requirements of the role.

• Willingness to work any shift.

Preferred:

• Experience working with composite materials or in a manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards.
