PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled and motivated Mill Machine Operator to support a leading aerospace client’s machining operations. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals with hands-on experience in mill operations, blueprint interpretation, and precision measuring tools.
Your Role and Impact
As a Mill Machine Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining milling equipment to produce high-quality components. You’ll work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your attention to detail and ability to multitask will directly contribute to production success.
What You’ll Do
- Operate multiple milling machines efficiently while monitoring quality.
- Interpret machinist drawings and follow detailed instructions.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform setups, including jaws on lathes, and identify proper tooling and inserts.
- Apply basic shop math and G-code understanding to optimize performance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform general tool maintenance.
- Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other lift-assist equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and promote a culture of teamwork.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to read and interpret machinist drawings.
- Basic knowledge of metrology and shop math.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Basic computer skills and English literacy.
- Willingness to work occasional overtime, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of recent experience in a machining environment.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T).
- Understanding of G-code and surface plate setups.
- Experience with NC machine setups and precision measuring equipment.
- Strong coordination, motor skills, and troubleshooting ability.

- Pay Rate: $26/hr
- Shift: Swing Shift – 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Pay Details: $26.00 per hour
