Type: Full-Time | Consultant (6-Month Contract)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Start between 7–9 AM (Central) | 8.5-hour day including 30-min lunch

In this role, you'll collaborate with internal and external teams to translate complex requirements into effective system designs—playing a critical part in advancing aerospace technologies that power today’s most mission-critical aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to define and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements

• Translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs

• Conduct system validation and testing to ensure functional compliance

• Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and requirement adherence

• Troubleshoot and support fielded hardware/software throughout the product lifecycle

• Research emerging technologies for application to future aerospace systems

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Tech, Physics, Math, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Data Science

• 3+ years of experience with a BS, 1+ years with a Master’s, or relevant PhD

• System requirements analysis, schematic design, hardware/software integration experience

• Knowledge of RS422/RS232, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IEEE-488, PC104, MMSI, MIL-STD-1553

• Familiarity with MIL standards: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472

• CAD and electrical schematic design proficiency

• Experience with JIRA for project management
• Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

Preferred Qualifications

• Cybersecurity knowledge or certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+)

• Network architecture experience

• Familiarity with tools like DOORS, CAMEO, MBSE, earned value metrics

• Product/systems development and integration expertise

• Domain knowledge in air vehicles or weapons systems
