Electronic System Design & Analysis Engineer

Starting Pay : $59.75 /hour
Type: Full-Time | Consultant (6-Month Contract)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Start between 7–9 AM (Central) | 8.5-hour day including 30-min lunch
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Electronic System Design & Analysis Engineer to support the development of advanced aerospace systems. In this role, you'll collaborate with internal and external teams to translate complex requirements into effective system designs—playing a critical part in advancing aerospace technologies that power today’s most mission-critical aircraft.

Collaborate with customers to define and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs
Conduct system validation and testing to ensure functional compliance
Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and requirement adherence
Troubleshoot and support fielded hardware/software throughout the product lifecycle
Research emerging technologies for application to future aerospace systems
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Tech, Physics, Math, Chemistry, Computer Science, or Data Science
3+ years of experience with a BS, 1+ years with a Master’s, or relevant PhD
System requirements analysis, schematic design, hardware/software integration experience
Knowledge of RS422/RS232, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IEEE-488, PC104, MMSI, MIL-STD-1553
Familiarity with MIL standards: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472
CAD and electrical schematic design proficiency
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Cybersecurity knowledge or certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
Network architecture experience
Familiarity with tools like DOORS, CAMEO, MBSE, earned value metrics
Product/systems development and integration expertise
Domain knowledge in air vehicles or weapons systems
