PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Controllership Analyst to support a leading aerospace client’s finance operations in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is ideal for professionals with strong accounting expertise, a passion for process improvement, and a commitment to compliance and business partnership.
Your Role and Impact
As a Senior Controllership Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate accounting process execution, driving compliance, and supporting strategic financial initiatives. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to manage complex accounting processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the organization.
What You’ll Do
Accounting, Control, and Compliance:
Own and manage high-complexity accounting processes including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and technical accounting standards (e.g., project accounting, revenue/cost accounting, COPA cycles).
Participate in balance sheet reviews and prepare quarterly variance schedules.
Identify and report control deficiencies, ensuring timely resolution.
Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance activities.
Business Partnership and Process Improvement:
Maintain transparent accounting practices and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Identify and execute process improvement opportunities in collaboration with transformation leaders.
Support new initiatives and manage ad-hoc queries from business partners.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2–4 years of experience in public accounting or manufacturing accounting.
Experience handling financial statements for international manufacturing companies.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and R2R processes.
Hands-on experience with SAP and HFM systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or 150 credit hours.
CPA candidate or licensed CPA.
Experience with successful knowledge transitions and audit support.
