PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Tool & Fixture Specialist to support aerospace production operations with precision, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you will be at the forefront of creating, maintaining, and improving the specialized tools and fixtures that keep our manufacturing processes running flawlessly. Your work will directly impact product quality, operational safety, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training to internal users on the use, repair, and maintenance of complex below-the-hook equipment and test systems (e.g., scales, weights)

• Interpret operational manuals and tooling drawings to ensure proper equipment use and safety compliance

• Review internal customer requirements and evaluate vendor product capabilities and specifications

• Verify the structural integrity of purchased, fabricated, and repaired handling equipment

• Guide and mentor less experienced Proofload Technicians on integrity testing procedures

• Perform routine and complex Proofload (PL) procedures using rigging, weights, and scales

• Conduct operational inspections before and after PL tests

• Recommend improvements to PL processes to enhance safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency

• Review and validate documentation of PL tests, inspections, and maintenance activities

• Use software systems (MES, CMES, Maximo/CRPMS, Cribmaster) to manage work orders and test records

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience with tool maintenance

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and tooling drawings

• Experience with proof-load testing and equipment inspections

• Familiarity with software systems such as MES, Maximo, CMES, and Cribmaster

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
