Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Learning & Development Specialist with experience in aerospace manufacturing to design, deliver, and enhance technical training programs. This role involves defining project scope, leading curriculum development, coaching instructors, and ensuring training programs align with business objectives and performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define project scope and recommend deliverables, budget, and resources.
• Lead projects to produce educational deliverables and training content.
• Oversee curriculum development, instructional materials, testing, and system access requirements.
• Identify business-specific learning objectives and adapt content and delivery methods accordingly.
• Perform as a lead instructor in specialized content areas and conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions.
• Coach and mentor less experienced instructors.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing training consultation services to stakeholders.
• Identify, validate, and measure training effectiveness through observation, testing, and analysis.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers, instructional designers, engineers, and learning advisors to design creative training solutions (job aids, guided practice, capstone projects, etc.).
• Deploy training tools, monitor implementation, and analyze performance outcomes.
• Provide continuous performance improvement recommendations.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
• 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support.
• Experience in coaching, instruction, or employee development.
• Background in designing and implementing leadership development courseware or curriculum.
• Ability to interpret and work with detailed instructions, blueprints, or engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Assurance (all three not required, but broad knowledge is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications (Desired):
• Aerospace Manufacturing and Lean Certification(s).
• Experience with structural, electrical, repair, functional test, seal, or systems work.
• Hands-on experience as a mechanic in structural, mechanical, electrical, or related systems.
• Direct experience in areas such as Electrician/Structure/Wing/Spar Assembly, Needs Assessment, or Job Analysis.
