Description:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to support detailed structural evaluations, repairs, and compliance activities across the product lifecycle. This role is critical in ensuring aircraft structural integrity, addressing customer needs, and maintaining continued airworthiness in compliance with FAA and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue, and damage tolerance) to determine structural integrity and margins of safety using classical methods and Boeing tools.
Support customer inquiries, service bulletin development, failure investigations, and regulatory compliance efforts.
Research and prepare data to define structural design requirements.
Assess customer impact of solutions, providing temporary repair options when permanent repairs are not immediately feasible.
Review and approve structural analyses, support airframe repairs, and develop service bulletins.
Investigate failures and develop service documents ensuring compliance with FAA Federal Aviation Regulations.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• 7+ years of experience in structural analysis.
• 7+ years of experience applying structural analysis methods and repair principles, including fatigue/corrosion, statics, material strength/characteristics, repair techniques, and damage tolerance in maintenance programs.
• Experience with Boeing aircraft models.
• Ability to support a 24/7 on-call rotation and work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired):
• Master of Science in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 9+ years of related experience, or equivalent education/experience combination.
• Experience supporting transport category airplane certification or production/fleet support projects involving FAA approval.
• Strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience mentoring, teaching, or leading engineering teams.
