Description:
We are seeking an experienced Liaison Engineer to support production, resolve structural non-conformances, and provide engineering solutions throughout the product lifecycle. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on involvement in factory environments, and expertise in materials and structural repair.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and resolve production non-conformances through root cause analysis and disposition development.
• Apply Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues.
• Research technical, operational, and quality issues to deliver engineering solutions.
• Document, analyze, and communicate reported problems; manage resolutions to maintain design intent and safety.
• Develop and implement product and process improvements.
• Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and participate in design reviews.
• Represent engineering throughout production and post-production phases.
• Ensure supplier and partner compliance with Boeing standards.
• Develop customer communications for safe operation and equipment maintenance.
• Participate in disabled product repair teams, accident investigations, and support teams.
• Analyze damage repairs or structural modifications, including jacking/shoring requirements, to ensure safe work environments.
• Design interim structural repairs and perform static strength analyses.
• Develop non-destructive test (NDT) procedures, tools, and standards.
Basic Qualifications (Required):
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited (or equivalent) program.
• 5+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering (Mid-Level).
• 2+ years of prior Engineering Material Review Board (MRB) experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience as a liaison engineer with strong materials knowledge:
• Material types: steel, aluminum, titanium – strengths and capabilities.
• Material forms: bar stock, forgings, castings, and machining reactions.
• Post-machining processes and structural performance impacts.
