Are you ready to step into a fast-paced, high-impact role where you’ll help keep planes in the air and operations running smoothly? PDS Tech Commercial, in collaboration with our leading aviation partner, is seeking a detail-driven, proactive Buyer to support the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Foley, Alabama. 

This is your opportunity to play a vital role in a dynamic supply chain operation—ensuring our supplier network performs with excellence and precision to meet our quality, cost, and delivery goals. 

 
What You'll Do: 

As a Buyer, you'll manage the full procurement cycle, from purchase requests to supplier payment. You’ll work across departments and with both domestic and international suppliers to ensure timely delivery and top-quality materials. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: 

• Managing purchase orders and supplier communications 

• Coordinating material needs, delivery updates, and change orders 

• Aligning supplier schedules with facility requirements 

• Evaluating quotes, setting up new suppliers, and conducting supply market analysis 

• Monitoring supplier performance and driving delivery assurance 

• Creating and presenting key metrics and reports to internal teams and suppliers 

• Supporting strategic sourcing projects and continuous improvement initiatives 

• Traveling up to 10% domestically or internationally as needed 

This is an onsite position in Foley, AL, where you'll be embedded in the action and collaborate closely with teams across programs and departments. 

What You’ll Need to Succeed: 

Basic Qualifications: 

• University degree or equivalent professional experience 

• Familiarity with supplier management and the purchasing process 

• Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

• Beginner-level experience with ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Advanced ERP and supply chain system experience 

• Strong negotiation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills 

• Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with all levels 

• Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure in a high-matrixed environment 

• Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset 

• Willingness to use PPE and comply with safety protocols 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
