Chipton-Ross is seeking 46 Fabrication Specialists (Level B) for a contract opportunity in Ladson, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Manufacturing experience (assembler experience is also acceptable!) • Experience understanding and interpreting detailed written and verbal work instructions and processes. • Must have demonstrated strong effective communication, work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned task/work. • If hired, successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Performs machine set-up, machining, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. • Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): • Must be proficient in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook, etc. • Fabrication experience
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED and typically 1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education must be accredited.
WORK HOURS VARIABLE SHIFT; Contractors must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Shift dependent on business need.
