PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to support a leading aerospace client’s Engines & Power Systems (E&PS) division. This team is driving innovation in turbofan, turboprop, turboshaft, and electric propulsion systems. Your Role and Impact
As a Principal Systems Engineer, you’ll lead the design, modeling, and integration of aircraft systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to ensure system-level traceability, drive digital engineering practices, and support airworthiness and safety compliance.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain SysML-based models using CAMEO to represent system architecture, behavior, and requirements.
- Translate high-level mission requirements into structured models with full traceability using DOORS NG, Jira, or similar tools.
- Define and manage system and subsystem interfaces across propulsion, avionics, and sensors.
- Collaborate with design and test teams to validate system behavior and support verification planning.
- Use system models to inform integration efforts and support test readiness.
- Generate documentation for airworthiness, safety, and programmatic reviews.
- Advocate for MBSE best practices and support tool adoption across engineering teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in systems engineering and MBSE roles supporting aerospace systems.
- Hands-on experience with CAMEO Systems Modeler and strong understanding of SysML.
- Working knowledge of DOORS NG and Jira.
- Experience modeling complex system architectures and interfaces.
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes, V-model, and lifecycle traceability.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
- Understanding of Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA).
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-881, MIL-STD-882, and system safety frameworks.
- Exposure to airworthiness certification or flight test support.

- Pay Rate: $80/hr.
- Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Pay Details: $80.00 per hour
