PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support material handling equipment and electrical panel design efforts. These contract roles are ideal for professionals ready to contribute immediately to high-impact projects while gaining exposure to advanced systems and collaborative engineering environments.
Your Role and Impact
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll work closely with a seasoned engineering team to design, test, and document electrical systems for warehouse automation. Your contributions will help streamline operations, improve system reliability, and support the delivery of cutting-edge industrial solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Specify, design, and test material handling equipment and electrical panels.
- Create and modify electrical schematics and assembly drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Apply electrical engineering principles to develop and improve industrial control systems.
- Assist in creating bills of materials (BOMs) and ensure accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and grow into an independent technical contributor.
- Follow established engineering guidelines and report to a local manager for daily direction.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (2-year degree with strong experience also considered).
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems and electrical component identification.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Oracle ERP systems.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.

- Pay Rate: $45/hr
- Shift: Day Shift – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Work Environment: Hybrid schedule – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Pay Details: $45.00 per hour
