PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer – Test & Verification to support a leading aerospace company Digital Analytics and System Health software engineering team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of cutting-edge aerospace software for government and military programs. You will play a key role in building automated test frameworks that accelerate delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.
Job Details:
Job Type: Full-time; Consultant (6 Months)
Location: Hybrid – onsite 1x per week (Ridley Park, PA | Hazelwood, MO | Plano, TX)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7AM–4PM
Starting Pay: $48.68 per hour
What You’ll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API platforms.
Build reusable, data-driven test suites to ensure product reliability and performance.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Partner with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, quality goals, and acceptance criteria.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring traceability to requirements.
Conduct API testing (REST/GraphQL) and contribute to performance and security testing.
Triage failures, report defects clearly, and collaborate on root-cause analysis.
Participate in design discussions, peer reviews, and quality gates.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of software test automation experience.
Expertise with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium/WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) and at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#).
Strong experience in API testing and tools (Postman, Swagger, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD, Git, Agile practices, and defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms and containerization (AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with aerospace, government, or military programs.
Knowledge of accessibility, security standards, and performance testing.
Automation testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
