Client supports a fleet of 275 C-17 Globemaster III Airlifters in a multiyear, multi-billion dollar sustainment contract. This position supports the C-17 Sustainment, Obsolescence and Capabilities Enhancement programs which require a modern Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and tool.
Position Responsibilities: C-17 Engineering is transitioning to a new Team Center based PLM version. This position will: • Provides strategic direction for the application of industry standard analysis methods and techniques to continuously improve and optimize solutions for complex engineering and manufacturing processes throughout the value stream. • Leads the adaptation and implementation of national and industry standards for product definition data. • Oversee the strategic implementation of new approaches to program planning that simulate the multi-functional dependencies of the product development lifecycle for complex, highly integrated products. • Support IPDM R9/2312 Change Request test development and testing as the Engineering SME • Support IPDM R9/2312 Data Migration test development and testing as the Engineering SME • Lead requirements integration, test development and testing of Model Based Systems Engineering System Models with IPDM R5, R9/2312. • Works under consultative direction Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering • 10 years experience working with Systems Engineering processes • 10 years experience integrating Digital Engineering modeling (such as: 3D solid modeling, systems modeling, simulation) • 10 years experience with analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting • 5 years experience creating technical presentations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): • Master’s degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering • 15 years experience working with Systems Engineering processes • 15 years experience integrating Digital Engineering modeling (such as: 3D solid modeling, systems modeling, simulation) • 15 years experience with analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting • 8 years experience creating technical presentations and presenting to Sr Leadership
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
