LOCATION: New Orleans, LA (supports supplier in Buffalo, NY)
PAY RATE: Up to $180/hour

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Travel: >75% to suppliers and customer sites

Summary:

Provide program management support, engineering leadership, and supplier technical oversight to ensure hardware meets contractual requirements.

Collaborate with technical leads and suppliers on space and/or launch vehicle systems projects.

Lead engineering disciplines such as Systems, Structural, Mechanical/Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, Propulsion, Test, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering.

Manage supplier relationships, cost accounts, and risk/opportunity assessments.

Requirements:

Bachelor s in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Chemistry (ABET-accredited)

20+ years supplier management/technical leadership (or equivalent Master s/PhD experience)

Executive-level and technical team leadership experience

Cost account management expertise

Risk and opportunity management

Independent and assertive in team/client settings

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience

Background in space/launch vehicle systems

Expertise in one or more: Systems, Structural, Mechanical/Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical, Propulsion/Flight, Test, Manufacturing, Quality, Liaison, Materials Processes & Physics Engineering
