Aircraft Painter
Location: Tulsa, OK 74116 (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-Time | Consultant (4-Month Contract)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | First Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $45 – $48/hour (commensurate with experience)
Per Diem: $110/week for contractors residing 100+ miles from worksite
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter with at least 5 years of experience aircraft painting to support high-precision painting and surface finishing operations on aircraft and aerospace components. In this role, your attention to detail and technical expertise will directly impact the quality, safety, and appearance of advanced aerospace systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
Set up and operate paint spraying equipment, robotic spray systems, and manual tools
Apply primer, protective, and finish coatings to aircraft exteriors and interiors
Mix and thin paints to exact specifications
Perform touch-ups, rework, and surface preparation as needed
Operate chern-mill processing equipment, ovens, furnaces, and quenching tanks
Conduct anodizing, electroplating, and chemical cleaning of metal parts
Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Collaborate with team members and assist in training or coaching as needed
Maintain personal certifications and ensure tools/equipment are properly calibrated
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of aircraft painting experience
Ability to work any assigned shift, including overtime and weekends as needed
Physically able to stand for 8-hour shifts and perform hands-on tasks
Must pass a painting skills demonstration upon start
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with robotic spray coating systems
Familiarity with radar-absorptive materials and aerospace-grade finishes
Skilled in metal and wood fabrication, including use of saws, mills, and lathes
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Experience with heat treatment processes and chemical processing of aerospace materials
