Drive Innovation and Technical Excellence in Propulsion Systems
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a seasoned Propulsion Engineer with exceptional leadership and technical expertise to oversee supplier management, engineering integration, and program execution for high-profile aerospace projects. In this role, you will ensure that propulsion hardware and systems meet the highest performance, safety, and quality standards, while guiding cross-functional teams toward mission success.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide engineering leadership and supplier oversight to ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements.

• Lead and integrate engineering disciplines such as propulsion, systems, mechanical/aerospace, avionics, electrical, test, and manufacturing.

• Manage cost accounts, risks, and opportunities to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

• Deliver program management support across project leadership, program analysis, scheduling, and integration.

• Oversee manufacturing and expeditor support to ensure timely delivery of quality hardware.

• Support quality engineering processes, including non-destructive testing, inspections, and evaluations.

• Travel extensively (>75%) to supplier and customer sites, with a primary presence in Buffalo, NY.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry and:

  • 20+ years’ experience (Bachelor’s)

  • 18+ years’ experience (Master’s)

  • 15+ years’ experience (PhD)

• Proven ability to work independently and present confidently to technical teams and clients.

• Demonstrated success in leading technical teams and managing supplier relationships.

• Executive-level communication skills with experience in high-stakes decision-making.

• Strong background in risk management and cost account management.
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.

• Previous experience in space and/or launch vehicle systems.
