Summary:
Responsible for producing high-quality parts and components by setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
Set up and calibrate CNC machines, load and align workpieces, select tools, and adjust machine settings.
Read and interpret technical blueprints and CAD/CAM files to program CNC machines for various operations.
Perform drilling, milling, turning, grinding, and other machining tasks with precision.
Inspect finished products using measuring tools and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.
Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and parts replacement.
Diagnose and resolve machine performance or product quality issues.
Maintain accurate records of production runs, settings, and issues encountered.
Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Operator or CNC Technician in a manufacturing setting.
High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
Engineering degree a plus.
Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, including lathes and mills.
Strong blueprint reading and CAD/CAM interpretation skills.
Solid understanding of machining techniques, tools, and measurement instruments.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and basic math proficiency.
Ability to lift and handle heavy materials and tools.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with strict safety protocols.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
