Structural Analysis Engineer
Location: Seal Beach, CA | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM | Duration: 6 months with possible extension |Starting Pay: $84.56/hr
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join our Airframe Customer Support Engineering team. In this high-impact role, you’ll help keep aircraft flying safely and efficiently—developing innovative structural solutions that can return an airplane to service in as little as four hours.

Lead development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to establish system design.
Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to define product environments and ensure structural integrity.
Perform detailed structural analysis—static strength, fatigue/durability, and damage tolerance—using classical methods, finite element modeling, and industry-standard analysis tools.
Guide the creation of test plans, configurations, and execute/interpret results to verify systems meet stringent standards.
Develop and document certification materials to satisfy customer and regulatory requirements.
Support in-service products by investigating failures, analyzing improvements, and providing repair solutions.
Create and refine analytical tools to improve efficiency, quality, and development processes.
Work under minimal direction while mentoring and guiding less-experienced engineers.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
7+ years of experience in structural analysis.
Expertise in structural analysis methods, repair principles, fatigue and corrosion, statics, material strength, and damage tolerance.
Experience with large commercial aircraft models.
Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and work variable shifts, including weekends or overtime.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
9+ years of related engineering experience.
Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
Certification or production/fleet support project experience.
Proven leadership in mentoring and guiding teams.
Experience working with diverse, global engineering teams.
