Summary:

Fabricate high-quality, complex furniture and wood subassemblies using stationary and handheld tools

Interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements and approved samples

Use a variety of woodworking tools and techniques

Champion safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies while protecting aircraft interiors

Collaborate with lead and senior technicians on process improvements using Lean Six Sigma principles

Use material tracking systems to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work

Assume Lead duties as needed, mentoring and training less experienced technicians

Oversee projects and coordinate task delegation with Lead

Conduct and assist with safety audits

Help maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs

Coordinate with other backshops as required

Adapt to sudden schedule changes

Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 4 years of cabinetmaking experience

Aerospace industry experience preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English

Ability to climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift

Computer literate

Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes and products

Working knowledge of inspection and process specifications preferred

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
