Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

    Investigate and resolve production non-conformances and technical issues.

    Conduct root cause analysis and develop engineering dispositions.

    Analyze structural damage/repairs and design interim repairs.

    Translate Boeing design principles into effective factory-floor solutions.

    Support IPTs and design reviews; ensure supplier/build partner compliance.

    Create and interpret non-destructive test (NDT) procedures and tooling standards.

    Participate in accident investigations, field repair teams, and customer correspondence.

    Daily exposure to noise, chemicals, stairs, trip hazards, and aircraft-in-progress. Expect direct involvement with production teams on the floor.

    Support multiple shifts, including off-shift, weekend, and potential travel assignments.

    Shift rotation is site-dependent.

Requirements:

    Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering from an ABET (or equivalent) accredited program.

    14+ years experience in structures/systems/design/production.

    7+ years of Engineering MRB experience.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

    Steel, aluminum, titanium properties; machining practices & limitations.

    Load path analysis for complex parts; surface condition prep.

    Strong grasp of GD&T (True position, parallel surfaces, bonus tolerance, etc.).

    Interpretation of drawing datums, fit-up tolerancing, and discrepancy modeling.

    Familiarity with Spatial Analyzer and metrology tools.

    Understanding of gear tables, spline profiles, runout, and installation patterns.

    Heat treat, peening, induction hardening, etching, anodizing, passivation, plating.

    Evaluate operational performance impacts at the aircraft level.

    Analyze RPM, torque, gaps, and clearance during FT acceptance.

    Experience with -M bushings, heli-coils, blending, corrosion protection, and re-finishing.
