PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support one of the most mission-critical aerospace programs in the U.S.—the sustainment of the C-17 Globemaster III Airlifter fleet. In this full-time, 9-month consulting role, you’ll help lead the digital transformation of engineering systems that ensure the longevity and readiness of 275 globally deployed aircraft.

This is a hybrid role available in either Fort Walton Beach, FL or Long Beach, CA, working Monday through Friday, 8AM–4:30PM.

Your Mission

As a Process Engineer, you will play a central role in transitioning C-17 Engineering to a modern Teamcenter-based PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system. Your responsibilities will drive improvements across systems engineering, digital modeling, and lifecycle integration. You’ll serve as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting change request development, data migration, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) integrations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership in applying industry-standard analysis methods to optimize engineering and manufacturing processes.

• Lead the adoption of national and industry standards for product definition data.

• Guide the implementation of new program planning strategies that model the entire product development lifecycle.

• Act as Engineering SME for testing and development related to IPDM R9/2312 Change Requests and Data Migration.

• Develop and test system model integrations with various PLM environments.

• Collaborate cross-functionally under consultative direction to drive engineering excellence.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

• 10+ years of experience with Systems Engineering processes.

• 10+ years of experience integrating Digital Engineering modeling (3D modeling, systems modeling, simulations).

• 10+ years of experience in analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting.

• 5+ years of experience preparing and delivering technical presentations.
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering or related discipline.

• 15+ years of Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering modeling experience.

• 8+ years presenting to senior leadership and stakeholders.

• Education from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
