Electronics Technician
Location: San Antonio, TX | Pay: $40.17/hr (35.24/hr + $4.93 H&W) | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 1st & 2nd Shifts (Variable)

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support critical aerospace operations in San Antonio, TX. If you're an expert in avionics systems, diagnostics, and precision electronics—this is your opportunity to directly impact mission success on high-profile aircraft programs.
Perform bench and/or flight line testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on aircraft systems
Modify, install, and test wire bundles and avionics components
Analyze circuits, calculate waveforms, and trace signal flows using advanced diagnostic tools
Interpret schematics, blueprints, wire diagrams, and work instructions
Diagnose and correct assembly malfunctions using precision tools and instruments
Collaborate with peers and management to determine optimal repair processes
Mentor and support junior technicians; may lead teams on complex assignments
Work from ladders or in confined spaces and lift up to 35 lbs
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, including Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag Out protocols
Support cross-functional teams (Structures, General Mechanics, Electrical) as needed to meet project goals
Experience with C-17 or other heavy aircraft platforms
Proficiency in Aircraft Avionics Systems (Comm Nav, Radar, Data Links, Weapons)
3+ years of experience in applied mathematics, statistics, or related field
4+ years interpreting schematics, specs, drawings, and SOPs
3+ years with aircraft computer systems and standard office software
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Hands-on experience with C-17 modification programs
Familiarity with COMSEC, Radar, or advanced electronic systems
Certified or able to operate forklifts, cranes, and elevating equipment
High school diploma or GED
OR in lieu of diploma, at least 4 years of relevant experience in electronics/avionics (e.g., wire bundle installation, circuit analysis, and test equipment operation)
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
