You will report directly to our Systems Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Torrance, CA location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge systems that power innovative solutions. You will be responsible for the design and architectural aspects of complex systems, which may involve hardware, software, and network components. You will ensure that the system design aligns with Honeywell's quality standards and industry best practices. You will be responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of relevant technologies and industry trends that you will apply to address complex engineering challenges and provide solutions that meet or exceed the required technical standards for your customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead large portions of project scope including planning and tracking cost, schedule, and resource load • Coordinate with systems technical lead, systems project lead, program management, and customer to control project scope while meeting project deliverables • Assist with requirements for Verification and Validation for Military Environmental Control Systems in accordance with ARP4754 • Provide strategic direction for systems engineering activities, aligning them with the company's goals and objectives Systems integration and architecture development • Team Leadership, including: • Mentoring • Staff capability development • Effective coordination and communication with: • Multi-disciplinary design teams • Systems engineering teams • Project management organizations • Internal and external customers • Technical leadership and oversight of: • Control system integration • Test and development equipment • Ownership and Leading field Issue troubleshooting and support • Project engineering • Collaborate with technical experts and thought leaders to drive technological advancements • Present complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Experience leading engineering programs • Control Account Management experience • Experienced in System Requirements and Verification and Validation Process (V&V) • Ability to work under minimal supervision • US Citizenship is required
