JOB TITLE: RS Senior Aircraft Upholstery Technician

Summary:
Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains, assemblies, and subassemblies.
Interpret material specifications and engineering drawings to meet design requirements.
Sew, fabricate, and install covers for all panel types, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Use the Corridor material tracking system to create parts demands, track squawks, and sign off work.
Cut and install advanced custom-designed carpets with unique patterns.
Assume Lead responsibilities as needed, including task delegation and project oversight.
Conduct safety audits and assist team members in completing them.
Maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs.
Comply with and promote Safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; ensure protection of aircraft interiors.
Mentor and train less experienced technicians, ensuring work meets safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Collaborate with Leads and senior technicians to implement process improvements that reduce material cost, cycle time, and labor hours using Lean Six Sigma tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
4 years of upholstery experience, including 2 years in aircraft upholstery OR 6 years of commercial upholstery experience.
Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes, products, and/or advanced carpet installation skills, including custom carpet installation.
Working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications.
Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
Computer literacy required.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined areas, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
