PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a highly qualified Assembly & Test Technician at a leading aerospace facility in Rocky Mount, NC. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with precision tools and contribute to the production of advanced electromechanical systems for aircraft and helicopters.

About the Role
As an Assembly & Test Technician, you’ll perform standard assembly and testing procedures on hydro-mechanical fuel controls and related aerospace components. You’ll work with minimal supervision, using technical documentation and precision instruments to ensure product quality and compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Assemble and test aerospace components using hand and power tools

• Use precision measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) for inspections

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and electronic work instructions

• Perform visual inspections and report non-conformities

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow quality procedures

• Participate in daily Tier meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain work areas according to 5S and Visual Management standards

• Support weekend overtime as needed

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma (preferred)

• 3–6 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, machining, electrical, plumbing, or construction

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

• Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation)

• Ability to lift 30+ lbs. and perform repetitive tasks

• Must be local to Rocky Mount, NC (within ~50 miles)

• Must pass a vision test within the first week of assignment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree or technical certification

• Six Sigma training or certification

• NC WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)

• Experience in a team-based, continuous improvement environment

• Knowledge of 5S principles and lean manufacturing

• Pay Rate: $22.00/hr

• Shift: First Shift 5x8| Monday–Friday | Weekend OT as needed

• Bonus Opportunity: Up to $3,000 through our Subco Bonus Program

  • $1,000 at 60 days
