Are you ready to drive transformational change using data and machine learning? PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced Data Scientist to lead AI/ML development initiatives that power smarter operations and decision-making across the aerospace sector. You'll work on cross-functional teams to deploy cutting-edge generative AI solutions, shape predictive analytics, and build scalable models that directly support critical airplane systems integration.

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end development of AI/ML solutions to meet strategic business objectives.

• Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover patterns and actionable insights.

• Design, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models.

• Develop and optimize generative AI models to drive operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and engineering units to translate data into impact.

• Create compelling data visualizations and reporting to support decision-making.

• Ensure robust model performance through feature engineering, preprocessing, and evaluation in production environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.

• At least 5 years of hands-on AI/ML development experience.

• Proficiency in Python, including experience with APIs and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, statsmodels, and sklearn.

• Strong grasp of linear/logistic regression modeling and statistical analysis.

• Experience in data manipulation and analysis using tools such as SQL, Pandas, and NumPy.

• Demonstrated success in deploying models in production environments.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced technical education or equivalent experience (e.g., Master’s or PhD in a relevant field).

• Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization platforms.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex models to non-technical audiences.

• Familiarity with Agile tools and frameworks (e.g., ADO, Jira).
