PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to support our client, a leading innovator in the aerospace industry. In this highly impactful role, you’ll help design the mechanical systems that make modern aviation possible—from landing gear and fluid systems to critical assemblies and mechanisms. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, efficiency, and performance of next-generation aerospace platforms.
As a Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer, your typical day will include:
Developing detailed designs for mechanical components and fluid/thermal systems
Creating and modifying system documentation and high-level requirements
Performing spatial integration at the system or component level
Reviewing supplier designs and non-conformances
Supporting design reviews and analyzing test data
Documenting specifications, procedures, and manufacturing support materials
Assisting with proposal preparation and business development activities
To be successful in this role, candidates should have demonstrated experience in:
Mechanical Design of aerospace systems
CATIA (CAD software) for 3D modeling and drafting
System Safety Analysis and compliance assessments
Requirements Development, validation, and traceability
DOORS (IBM Rational) for managing engineering requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with relevant experience
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred:
Experience in aerospace systems integration
Familiarity with mechanical assemblies and manufacturing support processes
Previous involvement in supplier technical review
