PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Advance Systems Engineer to support the design, development, and qualification of electronic control units and components for APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) gas turbine engines. About the Role
As a Senior Advance Systems Engineer, you’ll lead the development of airborne electronic hardware and control system components from concept through qualification. You’ll collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure compliance with rigorous aerospace standards and deliver high-performance solutions for safety-critical systems.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and integrate components for gas turbine engines, including sensors, actuators, and control units.

• Manage build-to-spec product development with suppliers, ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

• Interpret and flow down requirements, including SOWs, SDRLs, and technical specifications.

• Lead qualification efforts in accordance with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and other aerospace standards.

• Author and review test plans, qualification test procedures (QTPs), and qualification test reports (QTRs).

• Support design, obsolescence management, and drawing revisions for electronic control hardware.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage schedules, documentation, and supplier communications.

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:

• Experience developing components for gas turbine engines.

• Familiarity with DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 qualification standards.

• Experience developing requirements and product specifications.

• Proven ability to work with suppliers to develop build-to-spec products.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in APU systems, control systems, or airborne electronics.

• Experience with any of the following:

• Wire Harness

• Surge Control Valve (SCV)

• Speed Sensor

• Temperature Sensor

• Oil Level Sensor

• Fuel Control Unit

• DO-254 compliance
