JOB TITLE: Military Vehicle Mechanic - DEFENSE
LOCATION: White Sands Missle Range, NM
PAY RATE: $29.62/hour

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Clearance: Ability to obtain secret clearance

Shift: 4/10A 1st Shift

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Perform a variety of duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas

Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems

Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions

Operate related equipment and conduct tests, reporting data in prescribed format

Perform calibration and alignment checks; make modifications, adjustments, and replacements as directed

Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions

Excludes technicians working in production or quality assurance

Requirements:

This IS A CLEARANCE JOB (ability to obtain secret clearance)

High School Diploma or GED

Familiarity with both gasoline and diesel engines

Vehicle troubleshooting skills

Experience as a diesel mechanic working on bulldozers or large diesel engines preferred

Experience working on gasoline and/or diesel engines preferred

This position requires safety shoes

After several months on assignment, may require operating a forklift

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
