We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

First Shift: 5:30 AM 4:00 PM

Days: Monday Thursday (4x10 schedule)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

Set up and operate plain or universal horizontal and vertical milling machines.

Perform precise machining operations, including compound angles and contours, boring compound angular holes, helical and spiral milling, serrating, and gear, spline, and keyway cutting to tight tolerances.

Selecting, mounting, and aligning specialized machine attachments and tooling

Planning the sequence of operations and determining required cuts, setup, speeds, feeds, and depth of cut

Interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications

Using machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Performing standard shop computations and layout work

Monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with control procedures

Requirements:

High school diploma required

Mechanically inclined

Ability to learn to read operation sheets and blueprints

Able to differentiate between thread types (coarse, fine, metric, standard)

Experience with stock cutting saws

Experience operating large Proceco wash stations

Skilled in burr bench work

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
