PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a dependable Material Coordinator to join our team in San Antonio, TX. In this essential role, you’ll ensure the right tools, parts, and materials are always where they need to be—helping our aerospace programs operate smoothly and efficiently.

As a Material Coordinator, you’ll play a vital part in the production and logistics process, supporting everything from inventory management to tool crib operations. Your expertise will help keep high-stakes aerospace projects on schedule and mission-ready.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate the flow of tools, parts, and materials across departments based on production schedules

• Maintain tool crib and inventory control areas to meet customer and company requirements

• Handle shipping, receiving, storing, inspecting, transporting, and tracking of materials

• Operate equipment including forklifts, cranes, barcode readers, and material handling systems

• Read and interpret work orders, part lists, and receiving documents

• Document material movements and maintain computerized inventory and requisition systems

• Prepare and consolidate kits for hazardous materials, parts, or tooling

• Cut, stock, and issue materials, including hazardous items, following safety procedures

• Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies, damage, or deterioration

• Work in elevated or confined environments using proper PPE and lifting techniques

• Rotate shifts (1st and 2nd), work occasional overtime, and support weekend operations when required

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications (Required):

• 2–3 years of stockroom/tool crib experience

• 3+ years working in a computer-based inventory or warehouse management system

• 1+ years of experience managing aspects of government property control (acquisition, records, inventory)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Comfortable using warehouse equipment, climbing ladders, lifting up to 35 lbs, and working in elevated or noisy environments

• Able to pass visual acuity and color perception tests

• Willingness to wear PPE and operate industrial equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments

• Ability to perform detailed materials analysis and reporting

• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and labeling
