PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Automated Systems Testing Engineer to support our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. This role is key to ensuring the readiness and resilience of infrastructure and tools used in factory and launch environments.

Build the Backbone of Mission-Critical Space Systems

As a Test & Evaluation Engineer, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and automate complex test infrastructure. From virtual environments to physical servers and specialized test equipment, your work directly supports the success of critical space programs.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Product Security, IT, and Software Engineering teams to execute test infrastructure initiatives

• Help transform and modernize Test IT Infrastructure and Tools, focusing on performance, security, and reliability

• Design resilient, scalable IT infrastructure systems including redundancy and disaster recovery plans

• Lead the setup of servers, virtual machines, storage, firewalls, and network configurations

• Champion best practices for managing server rooms and improving lab environments

• Create engineering documentation and develop repeatable, efficient processes

• Stay hands-on in lab settings with a diverse range of specialized test equipment

• Drive adoption of cutting-edge technologies including virtualization and automation

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in managing large-scale server and IT systems

• Proficiency with both bare-metal and virtual machine infrastructure

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-disciplinary, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience

• Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows, VMWare, and NAS/SAN storage environments

• Security+ Certification (CompTIA)

• Experience leading technical teams

• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance with current Tier 5 (T5) background investigation
