PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to support our client, a global leader in aerospace innovation, in Chandler, AZ. This is your opportunity to be part of breakthrough work that impacts the future of space and defense technologies.

Schedule: 1st Shift (9/80A) – Enjoy Every Other Friday Off
Starting Pay : $29.64 per hour

As an Engineering Technician, you’ll work in a dynamic environment alongside structural test engineers and technicians to support critical testing of hardware used in next-generation launch vehicle systems. You’ll contribute to the hands-on execution of aerospace component testing—ensuring everything we send to space meets the highest standards of reliability and safety.
Support test setup, assembly, and execution of structural hardware tests.
Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to develop and maintain test configurations.
Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and schematics to build and document test setups.
Record, format, and report test data with precision.
Handle small and large components—sometimes up to 50 lbs—with accuracy and care.
Operate hand tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Hands-on mechanical skills and proficiency with hand tools.
Ability to read engineering drawings and follow complex work instructions.
Strong problem-solving attitude and collaborative spirit.
Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with pressurized hydraulic systems.
Forklift and crane operation (including overhead lifting).
Familiarity with soldering and instrumentation (strain gages, LVDTs).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Costpoint, and MES systems.
