PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to support our client, a global leader in aerospace innovation, in Chandler, AZ. This is your opportunity to be part of breakthrough work that impacts the future of space and defense technologies.

Schedule: 1st Shift (9/80A) – Enjoy Every Other Friday Off
Starting Pay : $29.64 per hour

The Role & Its Impact

As an Engineering Technician, you’ll work in a dynamic environment alongside structural test engineers and technicians to support critical testing of hardware used in next-generation launch vehicle systems. You’ll contribute to the hands-on execution of aerospace component testing—ensuring everything we send to space meets the highest standards of reliability and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Support test setup, assembly, and execution of structural hardware tests.

• Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to develop and maintain test configurations.

• Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and schematics to build and document test setups.

• Record, format, and report test data with precision.

• Handle small and large components—sometimes up to 50 lbs—with accuracy and care.

• Operate hand tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized environment.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• Hands-on mechanical skills and proficiency with hand tools.

• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow complex work instructions.

• Strong problem-solving attitude and collaborative spirit.

• Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pressurized hydraulic systems.

• Forklift and crane operation (including overhead lifting).

• Familiarity with soldering and instrumentation (strain gages, LVDTs).

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Costpoint, and MES systems.
