Location: Goleta, CA | Full-Time Consultant (6 months) | Starting Pay $24.85 /hour | Monday–Friday, First Shift (9x80)

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Quality Inspector to join a forward-thinking aerospace team in Goleta, CA. In this vital role, you'll ensure that critical spacecraft components meet exacting standards—directly contributing to missions that span from deep space exploration to national security.

Your Day-to-Day Impact:

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of spacecraft components using precise methods and tools.

• Conduct inspections using calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin gages, and CMMs.

• Evaluate mechanical, electrical, and structural components for conformance to quality requirements.

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

• Make critical decisions regarding the acceptance, rejection, or rework of inspected parts.

• Support production teams by identifying defects early and ensuring top-quality output.

Qualifications to Launch Your Career:

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years’ experience in quality assurance or inspection roles

• Proficiency using inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, comparators, pin gages, etc.)

• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)

• Ability to read and interpret control plans, drawings, BOMs, and specifications

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Team player with a problem-solving mindset

• Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing, mechanical or electronic assemblies
