Summary:

Manage and maintain OpenShift clusters supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Data, ensuring high availability and performance.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized applications and workflows.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Strong OpenShift administration experience supporting IBM Cloud Pak for Data

Proficient in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Skilled with Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar)

Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)

Familiar with security best practices (authentication, authorization, encryption)

Strong troubleshooting and log analysis abilities

Deep understanding of OpenShift architecture, CLI (oc), and web console

Experience managing projects, applications, and container image workflows in OpenShift

Kubernetes expertise: pods, services, deployments, persistent volumes, and kubectl

Knowledge of Kubernetes networking concepts (endpoints, policies)

Automation experience (e.g., Ansible)

Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus and Grafana

Backup and restore strategies for OpenShift clusters and volumes

Performance tuning and scalability optimization for OpenShift

Comfortable in agile/DevOps environments

Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
