Summary:

Developing and maintaining publication elements for all levels of maintenance on new or fielded major equipment systems or subsystems.

Content may include theory of operations, flight manuals, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdowns, removal/installation procedures, and schematic diagrams.

Develops clear and accurate technical documentation in accordance with customer and industry standards

Identifies and resolves gaps or inconsistencies in source data through collaboration with originators

Provides mark-ups and inputs for technical illustrations and schematics

Updates publication content based on engineering changes, reviews, and equipment modifications

Collects, researches, and analyzes source data (e.g., maintenance concepts, task analysis, workflows, design intent) to assess impact on documentation

Identifies inaccuracies in source data and takes corrective action

Validates source data assumptions for technical accuracy

Conducts peer reviews for technical accuracy and format compliance

Supports customer verification reviews and implements corrective actions as needed

Requirements:

Typically acquired through a Bachelor s degree

3+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., Master s degree + 1 year, or 7 years of relevant experience)

Proficiency in MS Office applications

Familiarity with XML and Contenta

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

Experience with S1000D standards

Experience with Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) development
