Are you an experienced A&P Mechanic passionate about aircraft readiness? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking skilled Flight Readiness Technicians to support critical aircraft modifications for a leading aerospace customer. Play a direct role in preparing next-generation aircraft for flight!
As a Flight Readiness Technician, you’ll perform mechanical system modifications, troubleshooting, and maintenance on 787 and 777 aircraft. From Service Bulletin installations to system checks, your work ensures safe, flight-ready aircraft meeting the highest quality standards.
Schedule: Monday to Friday; 1st & 2nd Shift (flexibility required)
Contract Duration: 12 months, with possible extension
Starting pay: $34.99 per hour
Overtime & Weekends: May be required
Install Service Bulletins and perform functional checks on aircraft systems
Perform mechanical system troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
Load aircraft software and operate flight deck systems
Maintain clean, FOD-free work areas to ensure safety
Work hands-on with aircraft interiors, structures, and avionics (as needed)
Use lifts and work in confined spaces as required
A&P Mechanic certification (strongly preferred)
5+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance and readiness
In-depth knowledge of full aircraft systems (total aircraft knowledge)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical capability to climb ladders, lift up to 35 lbs, and work in confined spaces
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience with 787 and 777 aircraft
Skills in avionics, structures, and aircraft interiors
Experience with aircraft software loading and system troubleshooting
Experience operating scissor lifts and boom lifts
Work 100% onsite with hands-on aircraft modification projects
