Summary:
Lead structured RCCA investigations in response to FAA Letters of Investigation, Compliance Actions, Voluntary Disclosures, and Airworthiness Non-Compliances.
Partner with engineering groups (Systems, Structures, Payloads, Propulsion) to identify problem statements, root causes, and corrective actions.
Coordinate investigation status and resolution with internal stakeholders, ODA, and regulatory authorities.
Collaborate across enterprise teams to continuously improve investigation tools, processes, and practices.
Clearly communicate complex technical findings to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
Apply airplane-level thinking and lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory expectations are met.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master s degree with 4+ years, or 10+ years of related work experience
6+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects independently
Strong initiative and ownership of task completion
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
10+ years of related experience
Working knowledge of RCCA tools (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone, BPSM)
Familiarity with FAA regulations, ODA procedures (FAA Order 8100.15), and certification processes
Experience working with regulatory agencies
Systems design or integration experience (Flight Controls, Avionics, Hydraulics, etc.)
Pilot s license and/or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
