Are you mechanically inclined and detail-driven with a passion for aerospace technology? PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Assembly & Test Technician (FAA) to support production at our client’s Rocky Mount, NC facility. This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a fast-paced aerospace environment, ideal for candidates with strong mechanical, technical, and teamwork skills.

About the Role
As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will perform dynamic, thermal, and functional testing on sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems used in aircraft and helicopter engines. You’ll operate specialized test equipment, follow FAA-regulated procedures, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect, calibrate, and test hydro-mechanical fuel controls

• Use precision tools and measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.)

• Follow electronic work instructions, blueprints, and quality procedures

• Maintain accurate documentation and records

• Participate in daily Tier meetings and continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and Visual Management standards

• Work overtime and weekends as required

What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

• Mechanical and technical experience

• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate MS Office

• Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret blueprints

• Vision testing must be completed within the first week of assignment.
  Steel-toed footwear is required.
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience in assembly/test manufacturing

• Associate degree or formal technical training

• North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)

• Six Sigma training or certification

• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in a team-based environment

• Familiarity with 5S and continuous improvement practices

• Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

  • $1,000 at 90 days
    (Must receive 14-day bonus to qualify for 60- and 90-day bonuses)
