Design the Future of Aerospace Autonomy
Join PDS Tech Commercial as an AI Engineer Systems Architect and help shape advanced spacecraft fault management and system autonomy solutions. This role offers you the opportunity to work at the intersection of aerospace innovation and AI-driven systems design, driving critical advancements in spacecraft reliability and performance.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform traditional systems engineering tasks including system-level test development, execution, and verification/validation planning for vehicle fault management and autonomy functions.

• Develop and implement test scripts (using STOL) to validate flight software and system autonomy features via simulations and flight hardware.

• Troubleshoot and debug test systems, including flight software, ground software, flatsat/simulator, and test scripts.

• Collaborate closely with technical leads to report progress and resolve engineering challenges.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of experience; OR Master’s degree with 10+ years; OR PhD with 8+ years.

• Strong experience with fault-tolerant systems, avionics, and spacecraft software/hardware integration.

• Proficiency with STOL or similar scripting languages.

• Solid problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Experience in spacecraft subsystem design, testing, and mission operations.

• Ability to create technical documents including design notes and test procedures.

• This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with command and telemetry databases.

• Experience developing verification documentation.

• Knowledge of flight software best practices.
