PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Avionics Installer I to assist in the installation, modification, and testing of avionics electrical systems. This entry-level position is the perfect opportunity for individuals eager to learn, grow, and launch a career in aviation. As an Avionics Installer I, you’ll help ensure that aircraft avionics systems meet the highest standards of safety and functionality, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, rewarding field.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, modification, and fabrication of wiring, electrical components, and fixtures as outlined in blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Perform terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems, ensuring that they meet operational requirements.
- Work closely with your team to complete tasks within allotted timeframes while ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Help maintain accurate logs and records of all work performed, ensuring traceability and compliance.
- Adhere to company safety regulations, FOD (Foreign Object Damage) program, tool control program, and the 5-S program to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Care for and maintain tools and shop equipment as assigned by your supervisor.
What We're Looking For:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- General knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Proficiency in using a multimeter.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Computer skills and general software knowledge necessary.
- Six (6) months of accredited schooling in aviation electronics or general electrical experience.
- Technical Certificate in aircraft electrical assembly or successful completion of a youth apprenticeship program in the field.

Pay Details: $25.66 per hour
