Pay: $18.00/hr + Shift Differential ($1.50 for 2nd shift, $2.00 for 3rd shift)

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking Inspection Technicians to support a leading aerospace operation in Carroll, IA. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals who are eager to work in a high-tech, quality-driven environment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring that aerospace components and assemblies meet strict industry standards—keeping aircraft and systems safe and mission-ready.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct inspections of electronic parts, raw materials, assemblies, and tooling instruments.

• Use micrometers, gauges, calipers, and other basic inspection tools with precision.

• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and quality documentation.

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections, including First Article Inspections (FAI).

• Operate computer systems to complete inspection tasks and maintain records.

• Verify documentation accuracy and ensure compliance with all work order instructions.

• Perform visual and physical inspections of subassemblies and final units.

• Assist with preliminary material reviews and administrative tasks.

• Support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and Continuous Improvement (CI) standards.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift and support overtime as needed

• Basic knowledge of inspection tools and measurement techniques (training provided)
  
  This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
   

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or inspection environment

• Familiarity with First Article Inspections and aerospace documentation standards
