Summary:
Perform aircraft modifications and maintenance tasks, including the removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engines, electrical components, and control systems, ensuring compliance with performance, procedural, and testing specifications.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on mechanical aircraft systems, meeting quoted or standard CMP times.
Provide guidance and direction to assigned technicians and promote high-quality standards through example.
Serve as acting Mechanical Team Lead (MTL) in their absence, assuming full responsibilities as needed.
Coordinate with Inspection to ensure compliance with FAA and internal inspection/documentation requirements.
Tag and properly store aircraft components and customer property.
Operate and oversee the use of ground support and special equipment, including power supplies, hydraulic rigs, and oxygen/nitrogen carts.
Coordinate aircraft movement as required.
Assist in training new employees on the CMP, SRMs, IPCs, and major component maintenance.
Coordinate with other departments for component overhaul or repair as needed.
Use the material tracking system to request parts and record labor accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area by applying 6S and Lean principles.
Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Properly use and care for company-provided tools and equipment.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificate required
Minimum 4 years of aviation maintenance experience, including at least 3 years working on mid- to large-size aircraft
Corporate aircraft experience preferred
Valid Driver s License required
Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures across multiple aircraft models.
Familiarity with technical resources such as maintenance manuals, IPCs, service bulletins, repair manuals, and engineering drawings.
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, company Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and internal procedures.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
