At PDS Tech Commercial, we’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Operations Specialist to join our client’s aerospace team in Amarillo, TX. Your work will directly support aviation safety, precision engineering, and continuous improvement on a fast-paced production floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and assist with First Article Inspection (FAI) activities

• Resolve CAMs issues related to FAIs

• Create and track First Article Requirement Records (FARR)

• Provide timely reports and status updates

• Review plans to ensure compliance with customer requirements

• Support FAA certification processes in accordance with 14 CFR Part 21 (21.33)

• Assist in preparing conformity packages including C of Cs, 8130-9s, material certs, and inspection records

• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

• Promote quality integration throughout the production process

• Maintain a deep understanding of plant and departmental policies and procedures

• Collaborate effectively with team members and management

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 3 to 5 years of experience in the aviation industry

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Working knowledge of quality systems such as ENOVIA, SAP, QlikView

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a technical field

• Green Belt certification or Continuous Improvement training

• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) training

• CATIA software experience

• Familiarity with FAA certification processes and documentation (C of Cs, 8130-9s, DARF)

• Experience working with ODA Unit Members or FAA designees
