As an Engineer at PDS Tech Commercial, you will lead design activities that prepare, convert, and release detailed engineering data essential to aircraft airframes. Your expertise ensures full compliance with rigorous industry standards including company design manuals, customer specifications, military standards, and procedures — all while supporting manufacturing and supplier processes to meet program schedules and budgets.
Create detailed 3D airframe models, 2D drawings, and engineering bills of materials for assemblies and installations.
Conduct detail design work under the guidance of a technical lead to develop innovative solutions.
Research and analyze technical data to support project objectives and engineering challenges.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, specialty teams, and suppliers to troubleshoot issues and meet schedule and cost goals.
Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support during component fabrication and assembly.
Support supplier activities to ensure quality and compliance with engineering specifications.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of aerospace design requirements and verification processes.
Skilled in general part sizing and GD&T principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience working with composite materials.
Preferred:
Proficiency in CATIA V5 and V6 (SolidWorks experience is a plus).
Familiarity with Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Maintenance workflows.
Experience with ENOVIA product lifecycle management software.
Previous airframe design experience.
Hands-on experience with sheet metal work, machining, casting, or forging.
