 About the Role

Join the cutting-edge world of aerospace innovation with PDS Tech Commercial! We’re seeking a Mechanical and Structural Design Engineer to support  our Test & Evaluation team in Tukwila, WA. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining engineering product definitions for systems laboratory test requirements across both commercial and military programs.

Your work will directly impact the success of high-profile aerospace projects, ensuring the seamless integration of design, testing, and manufacturing processes.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

 What You’ll Do

• Collaborate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to deliver cross-disciplinary technical solutions
• Support Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDRs/CDRs)
• Coordinate closely with design, manufacturing, and fabrication teams
• Manage drafting requirements and implement drawing changes
• Develop and modify systems, components, and installation designs
• Review mechanical and structural assemblies for compliance and accuracy
• Ensure configuration management standards are met
• Work within dynamic, cross-functional teams in a lab test environment

 What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with CAD/3D design software (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design (2D & 3D)
• AA degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Test and Evaluation Engineering
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical teams
• Self-starter with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
